Whiteline steering knuckles are engineered to deliver sharper handling, improved steering accuracy and increased stability by reinforcing one of the most critical components in your vehicle’s front suspension system. Steering knuckles connect the wheel hub, control arms, brakes and steering components, meaning even small changes in strength or geometry have a big impact on performance. Whiteline knuckles ensure these connections remain rigid, aligned and consistent under all driving conditions.
These upgrades are ideal for drivers seeking enhanced front end precision, reduced flex and better overall road feel. Whether navigating daily commutes, spirited mountain roads or performance environments, Whiteline steering knuckles provide the strong, stable foundation your suspension needs to perform at its best.
Why Upgrade Suspension
Factory steering knuckles can experience wear, distortion or flex due to age, heavy loads or demanding driving conditions. This affects wheel alignment, steering response and braking stability. Any deflection in the knuckle reduces suspension accuracy, which can lead to vague steering, uneven tyre wear and reduced confidence when cornering or braking hard.
Upgrading to high quality performance steering knuckles restores strength, ensures consistent geometry and allows your suspension to operate at maximum effectiveness. The result is improved precision, better grip and a more predictable driving experience.
Why Choose Whiteline
Whiteline steering knuckles are built from high strength materials designed for maximum rigidity and long term durability. Each component is engineered with precise geometry to ensure proper alignment, cleaner steering feedback and enhanced handling stability. With extensive real world testing and a focus on performance, Whiteline delivers components that withstand demanding conditions while improving vehicle dynamics.
Drivers choose Whiteline because the improvements are immediate. Turn in response sharpens, the chassis feels tighter and the vehicle remains more composed under load. Whiteline steering knuckles give enthusiasts the confidence to push their car further with greater precision and stability.
Whiteline Steering Knuckles Range
The Whiteline steering knuckles range includes:
Front Steering KnucklesHigh strength, precision engineered knuckles designed to restore and improve steering accuracy, front end rigidity and overall handling control.
How Whiteline Improves Vehicle Dynamics
Whiteline steering knuckles improve vehicle dynamics by providing a strong, stable mounting point for suspension and steering components. With reduced flex and improved rigidity, the knuckles help maintain consistent wheel alignment during cornering, braking and rapid direction changes. This results in cleaner steering feel, improved grip and enhanced stability through fast or uneven terrain.
By keeping geometry stable, Whiteline knuckles improve tyre contact, reduce body movement and deliver a smoother, more predictable driving experience. The improvements are felt immediately in precision, control and confidence.
Installation and Support
Whiteline steering knuckles should be installed by qualified professionals due to their complexity and involvement with braking and suspension systems. Each product includes clear instructions, and additional online resources are available for guidance. Once installed, improvements in control and steering accuracy are instantly noticeable.
Maintenance and Longevity
Whiteline knuckles are made from high strength, corrosion resistant materials that stand up to demanding driving conditions and long term stress. They require minimal maintenance and provide reliable performance for years. Strong warranty support gives drivers added peace of mind.

KCA514 Steering Knuckle Kit - Bump Steer Correction
Optimizing Steering Geometry for Better Handling and SafetyThe KCA514 Steering Knuckle Kit is designed to improve steering geometry and reduce bump steer. It is completely legal and doesn't require engineering certification or modification plates. This product is VSB 14 approved and ADR compliant. It functions similarly to installing an upper control arm in your vehicle.
Our engineering team has rigorously tested the aftermarket front knuckle (KCA514) to VSB 14 load standards using FEA analysis, assessing it for a front axle rating of 1650kg. The tests confirm that the product exceeds strength requirements. It is compatible with any GVM upgrade.
VSB 14 Compliance & Legality
VSB 14 outlines legal requirements for aftermarket modifications. The KCA514 knuckle is classified as owner-certified, meaning no engineer or certification is needed once installed. This is similar to installing legal modifications such as upper control arms, shocks, or lift kits.
ADR Compliance & Legal Status
The Australian Design Rules (ADRs) set national safety, anti-theft, and emissions standards for vehicles. While there are no specific ADRs for steering knuckles (similar to control arms or shocks), the KCA514 steering knuckle meets OE (Original Equipment) design standards. As there are no ADRs governing the "robustness of a vehicle," VSB 14 is the primary standard for in-service modifications.
Comparison to Other In-Service Modifications
Other similar in-service bolt-on modifications that don't require engineering or mod plates include:
- Leaf Spring Replacement Parabolic vs. original leaf springs.
- Front Strut Swap OE strut to Formula 4x4 or equivalent.
- Bull Bar Installation No issues with fitting a bull bar.
- Control Arm Upgrade Replacing a steel control arm with an alloy one.
Whiteline products undergo extensive testing to ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards, offering peace of mind regarding quality.
Benefits
- Enhanced Handling: Improved vehicle dynamics, providing better driving confidence and a smoother feel.
- Better Stability: Improved stability for daily driving, off-roading, and touring.
- Reduced Steering Correction: No more constant steering adjustments or fighting lane assist features.
- Less Driver Fatigue: A more relaxed driving experience and reduced risk of accidents.
- Reduced Tire Wear: Better tire contact with the road, increasing tire life.
Why the Isuzu D-Max, MU-X & Mazda BT-50 Need This Product
These vehicles experience chronic bump steer, which leads to significant tire wear. This issue is apparent in both standard-height and lifted versions, but becomes more severe with lift modifications.
The KCA514 steering knuckle provides a direct replacement, replicating all original features and mounting provisions. Made from hot-forged 4140 AISI steel, it's heat-treated and finished with black e-coat for optimal corrosion resistance.
Pairing KCA514 steering knuckles with upper control arms resolves premature tire wear, improves alignment, and restores proper handling.
Can Regular Wheel Alignments Fix the Issue?
No. While wheel alignments may temporarily reduce tire wear, they don't fix the underlying problem. Alignments are a band-aid solution, not a permanent fix.
Alternative Fixes to Steering Knuckle
After extensive testing, we've learned that while an upper control arm may slightly improve bump steer, it doesn't provide a full solution. Adjusting the steering rack pickup point is necessary to properly address bump steer. Using an upper control arm to fix bump steer would cause other issues, such as tire clearance problems.
The Whiteline steering knuckle is engineered to correct bump steer without introducing new complications.
What is Bump Steer?
Bump steer refers to changes in the vehicle's toe as its ride height changes, especially when driving over bumps. This is particularly problematic when towing, carrying heavy loads, or using a suspension lift. Excessive bump steer causes premature tire wear, as demonstrated in real-world field tests and R&D.
How Does the Whiteline Steering Knuckle Help?
The Whiteline steering knuckle relocates the tie-rod pickup point to optimize the steering geometry and reduce bump steer across different ride heights. Testing shows a 75% reduction in bump steer when these knuckles are installed in lifted vehicles. When installed in standard-height vehicles, bump steer is reduced to nearly zero.
Combining the KCA514 knuckles with offset upper control arms can reduce bump steer by an additional 10-15%.
