The Australian Design Rules (ADRs) set national safety, anti-theft, and emissions standards for vehicles. As there are no ADRs governing the "robustness of a vehicle," VSB 14 is the primary standard for in-service modifications.

Adjusting the steering rack pickup point is necessary to properly address bump steer. Using an upper control arm to fix bump steer would cause other issues, such as tire clearance problems.
